. . .

Sometimes we try to play these tricks on ourselves
Even though we know the only person we are hurting is ourself
We make up reasons that do not exist
Weave little tales to ease our heart
Hide ourselves from what is really taking place
I think it is a matter of survival
Of protecting our heart
And gently easing into the reality that will cause that same heart pain
But this little game can only go on for so long
Eventually the curtain is pulled back
And there it is
In plain view
That which we did not want to admit we knew
The thing is, we knew it all along
And now we must face it
Confront the truth
Feel the pain we have been avoiding
It will pass, it always does
This day will be another 'remember when' moment stored inside your head
And life will continue on

You have such a gift of writing, of putting your heart out there with your words. Thanks for these moments of inspiration!

You write so beautifully. It's funny that today's image is that of a blue jay, I had three visit me yesterday.

so true !
unless when we face this truth it means hurting someone else....then it's not easy at all to let it out into plain view.

Feeling the pain is a necessary and important part of moving on, even though its the hardest part.

Sending love and comfort to you today. Wishing I could give you a big hug.

wrapping my arms around you.
your words...your writing...gets to me every single time.

i wanted to share something with you...
i had a blue jay visit me a few times this past sunday.
there is a meaning to that...and this is a portion of what i found.

"Blue jay reflects that a time of greater resourcefulness and adaptability is about to unfold. There will be ample opportunities to develop and use your abilities."

oxoxo
loving you
